Easy On The Eyes — Tough On The Trails!
When concepting the retro-style FJ Cruiser mid-size SUV in the early 2000s, Toyota designers resurrected popular traits of the iconic FJ40: the short wheelbase, stocky frame, grille and headlight arrangement, and nearly vertical windshield. The prototype was then put to the test on some of the most difficult trails in North America, including Moab, Utah; the Angeles National Forest; the Mojave Desert; and the Rubicon Trail. That testing led to refinements in the suspension tuning and traction control system, but the exterior remained largely unchanged from the original concept when the final production model debuted at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show.
With this officially licensed 1/18 scale replica, FMS perfectly captures the essence of the full-scale Toyota FJ Cruiser design. Accurate details surround the exterior, from the classic yellow and white paint scheme to the scale roof luggage rack, footrests, heavy-duty front bumper, and spare tire. The realism continues in the scale interior with center console, rear view mirror, and seats.
Also like the full-scale SUV, the FMS Toyota FJ Cruiser boasts an impressive array of scale lighting functions. Behind the transparent lenses of the front and rear headlights are working LEDs for day or night driving. Triple fog lights are mounted to the front bumper. Reversing lights and operational turn signals on the side door mirrors complete the set.
Underneath the scale exterior is a strong, feature-packed, trail-proven chassis that’s ready for whatever off-road tests you have in store. The aluminum frame rail chassis provides a rigid and durable platform. The multi-link suspension and panhard bar design allows for maximum axle articulation over rough terrain to maintain traction. Nylon driveshafts deliver power from the high-torque gearbox to the high-grip tires. The Toyota FJ Cruiser’s beadlock wheels will accept any tires of the same scale, making it easy for drivers to install their own treads.
The 1/18 scale FMS Toyota FJ Cruiser arrives fully assembled and finished, and complete with a full set of powerful, factory-installed on-board electronics — 050 motor, 2-in-1 receiver/ESC, independent chassis-mounted servo, and a 7.4V 2S LiPo battery that provides up to 30 minutes of run time on a full charge from the supplied USB charger. Add four “AAA” batteries to the included 2.4GHz transmitter and you’re ready to hit the trails!

Proven Off-road Chassis
The Toyota FJ Cruiser is ready for whatever off-road tests you have in store. Its aluminum frame rail chassis provides a rigid and durable platform. The multi-link suspension and panhard bar design allows for maximum axle articulation over rough terrain to maintain traction. Nylon driveshafts deliver power from the high-torque gearbox to the high-grip tires.
Powerful Electronics
Factory-installed on-board electronics include a 050 motor, 2-in-1 receiver/ESC, independent chassis-mounted servo, and a 7.4V 2S LiPo battery that provides up to 30 minutes of run time on a full charge from the supplied USB charger. The setup provides a high power-to-weight ratio and allows all-weather operation.
Trail-taming Suspension And Tires
Tuned coil shocks, a multi-link suspension and panhard bar design allows for maximum axle articulation over rough terrain to help the high-grip M/T tires maintain traction. The 1.0” internal beadlock wheels accept all tires of the same scale for easy replacement.
